Bringing dinner to people totally stresses me out. I am a compassionate perfectionist - which means I want to bring people dinner so bad, but don't because I am afraid it won't be perfect. It is my internal battle in my head.
I wish I was one of those people at a potluck that people would say, "oh you have got to try those, Pink made them, you know what ever she makes you want to eat" Maybe someday.
until then I have figured out a way to used my compassion and my creativity to bring someone dinner. Disguise it with ribbon.
This is a basket (found at Goodwill of course) I made for a gal who had a new baby. Everything was tied in pink ribbon.
Here was my list
Rosemary Chicken
Rice (minute)
Butternut squash
Crescent rolls (out of a tube)
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip muffins
Homemade granola for breakfast (Mindy's recipe)
Instant mac and cheese packets for the kids
little thing of Crystal light
I made the babies monogram and typed up what was in the basket and added it to the top.
Here was another uncooked dinner I dropped off for a baby boy.
Sam's ready to bake pizza
Pineapple tied up with ribbon
Fresh bananas
Cookie dough all scooped up (I just bought the big Costco bucket and then scooped it into balls and repackaged it
So until I learn how to cook I must keep lots of ribbon on hand.
