Dear Think::
It seems crazy to me that when I first met you I didn't even own a pair of running shoes.
I think it was for two reasons
1. I didn't exercise and
2. I was too poor to buy any.
Last month I finished my second marathon. Running for me has been a true miracle, really.
Today I am leaving for Richmond, Virginia to attempt my third marathon tomorrow morning.
I feel totally unprepared for this one, but love having people cheer for me.
I am slow. Really slow, but I am determined and I love starting and finishing a project and being able to do it all one day is fun for me.
I came up with this clever idea of how to save a memento of my marathon without having to save a bunch of shoes. I painted the bottom of the shoe I ran in, in October and pressed it onto paper for me to put in a frame or scrapbook.
That way I can find a better use for my shoes than sitting in my garage.
Wish me luck!

LOVE the idea. Now I'll actually have to run a marathon to do it.

I LOVE this idea! I'm doing a fun run with my kids on Thanksgiving morning. It would be fun to get everyone's footprint after the race and display it for them to be proud of.

this is so clever. so much better than stinky shoes to memorialize a momentous effort.
almost makes me want to run.
